Vegeta has died twice. He was killed by Frieze on Namek and when he sacrificed himself against Buu. Some people will say he died three times if you include Frieza exploding the planet in Super but Whis turned back time so I don't think that should be the official count.
3 Vegeta: Blown Up By Frieza (Super) Already exhausted, Vegeta lays into Frieza with minimal effort. Pushed to his breaking point, Frieza impulsively destroys the Planet Earth. Vegeta is killed in the blast, but Whis ends up keeping Goku & the rest of the supporting cast alive.
But what happened to Vegeta after his two deaths? He is only seen briefly in the afterlife when King Yemma calls on him for an emergency return to Earth after Gohan is absorbed by Majin Buu. Though he's never seen there, it can be safely assumed that Vegeta was sent to hell after his first death.
Vegeta is killed by Frieza.
Vegeta's second death was even more noble. He blows himself up when he tries to destroy Majin Buu. However, this sacrifice turned out to be in vain as the bitty Buu simply reformed and went back to his destruction.
Heaven. Remember when in the end of DBZ, Porunga brought Vegeta back to life after Dende's wish to bring back all the good guys to life? Yeah, Vegeta didn't become more evil after that, so he was probably still a good guy. Therefore, he went to heaven.
Piccolo DaimaoSoon after, Krillin is killed by a henchman of Piccolo Daimao, who wanted to steal Goku's Dragon Ball. After Goku defeats Piccolo, Krillin is revived by the Dragon Balls. Another 3 years later, Krillin enters the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budōkai.
Vegeta doesn't need to dwell on this for long, though, as the Earth's Dragon Balls are used to revive everyone killed by Frieza within half an hour. Vegeta dies again early on in the Majin Buu arc, sacrificing himself to try to stop Fat Buu. While the act fails, Vegeta is revived two days later on May 9th.
After the battle with Moro, Lord Beerus took Vegeta under his wing and started training him in the ways of the Destroyer Gods and their "hakai" technique of destruction. Well, in Dragon Ball Super chapter 74, Vegeta indeed broke his limits to achieve a new Godly Destroyer form.
There's no "after" for Vegeta. The first time he keeps his body is because Kami pulled some strings for him. The second is because he gave his life to protect the Earth against Cell and Enma allowed him to keep his body again.

15 Gohan - 1 time The second time Gohan died was much more permanent. He was killed by Androids 17 and 18 in the Future Trunks' timeline. They overwhelmed him with energy blasts while he was in his Super Saiyan form. His body was found by Trunk.
Android 18 isn't exactly an android, she's specifically a cyborg. She was human once but Dr.Gero remodeled her and added cybernetics. Gero left her human enough to conceive a child. And so she did with Krillin.

Because most saiyans were evil, which meant that they'd either be in underworld or have lost their physical forms. Goku and Vegeta (eventually) were good enough to be able to keep their bodies and go to otherworld.
Goku: Killed when Cell self destructs, after Goku took him to King Kai's planet. He is revived several years later when Old Kai gives him his life. Goku using instant transmission to teleport Cell and himself, just before Cell explodes, killing Goku and those on King Kai's planet.
