Jordan wore the jersey during game three and four of the Eastern Conference Finals, on May 23 and May 25, 1998. The Bulls took a beating, but Jordan dropped 30 and 28 points, respectively, wearing the jersey. The games were part of his embittered battle with Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers and in what is regarded as one of the toughest playoff series throughout the Bulls’ six-championship run.
The games — and Jordan’s signature red jersey — featured in the wildly popular The Last Dance documentary, which explains why the kit is racking up so much hype now. Priced at $500,000, the piece is expected to “set the all-time record for most valuable Jordan Jersey ever sold.”
